Warren House wedding – Surrey wedding photographer

It was a beautiful, sunny day in June when I made my way over to the stunning Warren House wedding venue for Lynsey and Dave’s wedding. I was really looking forward to it because, having met Lynsey and Dave before, I was aware that they are well practiced in throwing a good party.

Bridal prep

I started the day in the beautiful bridal suite at Warren House with Lynsey and her bridesmaids. This room is very stylish indeed, complete with French style decor, a chandelier and bay windows. I’m not really used to such opulence and my photos from the morning were looking far more chic than usual. That was until I noticed the mini bride and groom flamingoes that Lynsey had propped on the mantelpiece, and proceeded to hang the wedding rings off their beaks for a quirky photo.

Glastonbury theme

Lynsey and Dave both love a festival, Glastonbury in particular, and so they had a loose Glastonbury festival theme for their Warren House wedding. The tables were all named after the different stages, there was a floral theme to the stationery and there were little cows placed on the tables around the centrepiece flowers.

Before the wedding day we had all our fingers and toes crossed that the weather would be nice enough for an outdoor ceremony. We needn’t have worried, the weather was glorious all day and there was beautiful sunshine as Lynsey walked down the aisle. The ceremony was beautiful and a rollercoaster of emotions. There was laughter when Dave went to shake Lynsey’s dad’s hand too early and got told off by the registrar. There were tears when the wedding day emotions were running high, and there was ecstatic cheering from Dave when they were proclaimed husband and wife.

The funniest part of the day for me was when I tried out a new posing prompt I had heard which is “lean on each other and walk like you are both drunk”. Well, these guys slipped into character immediately like it was second nature! They were laughing, waving their arms around and taking big lurching steps from side to side like they had spent a whole day in the pub and just got kicked out at closing time. Bravo Lynsey and Dave for the best drunk walk photos ever!
