Kent wedding photography
[I] had been SO LOOKING FORWARD to this wedding for ages!! I loved Hazel and Danny as soon as I met them and was over the moon when they booked me to do their wedding photography at The Hop Farm in Kent. They really are so fun to be around, and so in love. Their happiness is infectious.
The wedding day
On 9th July 2016 in the morning, I made my way over to the Spa Hotel in Tunbridge Wells where Hazel was going to be getting ready with her Mum and her bridesmaids. It was such a great atmosphere in that room. There was lots of laughs and reminiscing while listening to a great old school playlist including the likes of Alanis Morrisette. My kind of playlist!! Everyone was excited for the day and we knew it was going to be a great one.
The ceremony itself was beautiful and emotional. The registrar was hilarious (she commented to me, “Could these two please stop being so good looking?!). Hazel and Danny’s family and friends were both brilliantly funny and extremely welcoming. I was even sat with some of them for the wedding breakfast, and contributed to our table’s truly heartfelt page in the guest book where we all took turns to write a word. I’m not entirely sure it made sense, but whatever it said came from the heart.
The Hop Farm is such an interesting and unique venue, I was particularly excited about taking the couples portraits in a large shed surrounding by farming machinery. Fantastic!
All in all it was a fabulous day which ended with dancing to the super cool band Blue Note Mitch and the Red Hot Jacks. The first dance to Shout! was particularly energetic. Take a look at the pics!
I’d love to do more weddings in beautiful Kent, so if anyone is interested in Kent wedding photography then please get in touch.
